Old Boys Make an Impact at the SWAT Hockey Tournament!

From November 29 to December 3, a group of Selwyn House Old Boys came together at the Westmount Recreation Centre to compete in the 34th Annual Westmount Old Timers Hockey Tournament. While their team narrowly missed victory in the finals, they earned the trophy for raising the most funds in support of the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation and Ste-Justine’s Hospital!

Special recognition goes to the team members: Jonathan Goldbloom '72, Geoffrey Adams '83, Mike Avedesian '88, Jason Tsadilas '88, William Carsley '89, Peter Higgins '89, Ronald Simpson '90, Nicholas Synnott '90, Luke Carsley '91, and Selwyn dad, Michael Matthews.

This tournament was originally inspired by the incredible legacy of Nicolas W. Matossian '87. Diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, Nicolas organized fundraising events in support of pediatric cancer research, a mission that continues through this annual event. Today, the tournament is organized by his brother, Selwyn dad, Christian Matossian '90 and their father, Nicolas Matossian.

Congratulations to these Old Boys for their hard work and commitment to making a difference! #selwynoba
