20th Annual Colin No ’97 Basketball Classic

"The 20th annual Colin No ’97 Memorial Tournament was a great success, with over 35 alumni, staff and friends coming together to play basketball, catch up on old times and enjoy post-game food and drinks. The tournament saw four teams compete in a round robin format, with three alumni teams and one staff team. The youngest alums, led by Marcus Lynch ’20, provided the night's best highlights, while the oldest alums did their best not to pull a muscle. Victory ultimately went to the staff team, anchored by the veteran leadership of Matt McCarney and some backdoor dealings (also orchestrated by McCarney) that saw former McGill captain Noah Daoust ’12 promoted to a temporary staff job. Despite the controversy, when the final whistle was blown, the Selwyn community came together as it always does, sharing beer and laughs and toasting the continued success of the tournament and the bursary endowed in Colin's honour." - Phil Clark '05
