SHS and Contactivity team up for Winter Wonderland
In November, Selwyn House staff members and students joined forces with senior citizens from Westmount’s Contactivity Centre to make a music video to kick off the holiday season. With funding from Canadian Heritage, Government of Canada, Contactivity Organizer Benita Goldin planned the project as a celebration of the partnership between SHS students and her seniors’ group throughout the school year.
From Selwyn House, in addition to Richard Wills (musical arrangement and videography) and Clare Stewart (video editing), Troy Lebane, Maureen Powers, Julie Cote, Alex Becker and Nathalie Gervais sang or played on the video. Grade 11 student Matthew Homa sang, as did two classes of Grade 2 students. Kindergarten students played sleighbells. Contactivity members Dr. Reynold Gold, Arlene Rill, Susan Palevsky, Patricia Philip, Bruno Halberstadt and Vivian Agia rounded out the choir.
