Welcome Back & PED Day Internal Conference Recap

Welcome back, students! We trust you had a fantastic March Break! Selwyn staff returned yesterday, invigorated and ready for Term III. On Monday's PED Day, staff members hosted an enriching internal conference for their colleagues focusing on three main streams: Indigenization, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and concepts for Pillar II, part of our strategic plan. We were honoured to have guest speaker with us. Kawisente McGregor, a Bear Clan Elder in Kahnawà:ke, opened the conference with a ceremonial acknowledgement called Ohèn:ton Karihwatéhkwen (Thanksgiving Address). Thank you to everyone who presented and worked diligently to create, share and facilitate these conversations.
