Senior School Explores Strategies for Navigating Social Challenges

As a school community, we want to ensure our students are equipped with the knowledge and skills to navigate the complex social and digital landscapes they encounter. On October 21, our school hosted an impactful presentation for Grade 9-11 students led by Officer Anthony from Station 12 that addressed critical issues affecting student safety.

The presentation focused on the dangers of sextortion, the risks associated with sharing intimate images, and the importance of obtaining consent before engaging in sexual activity. Officer Anthony also highlighted how the use of alcohol or other substances can impact one's ability to give full consent. This event was a crucial step in raising awareness and providing our students with valuable information to help keep them safe, both online and offline. - Ms. Carissa Springer, Counsellor
