Homecoming Doubleheader: Gryphons Shine On and Off the Field

On October 5, our Cadet and Juvenile Football teams faced off against Dalbé-Viau and Calixa-Lavallée High School at the Westmount Athletic Grounds. This exciting doubleheader was a highlight of the this Homecoming Weekend, bringing together friends, family, Old Boys, and staff to support our Gryphons. With beautiful weather, it was the perfect day to celebrate the Veritas spirit both on and off the field.

 

Grade 10 student Eli R., with support from the Ms. Joyce McCauley from the Argyle Shop, designed a Gryphon fan shirt to raise money for the Gryphon Fund. With 75% of the shirts sold, over $800 was raised to support athletic excellence. Members of the CSSHL Hockey team also contributed by selling 50/50 raffle tickets, and thanks to the winner's generous donation of their winning half, an additional $2,000 was raised for the Gryphon Fund.

 

A special shoutout to Selwyn's Executive Chef and current parent, Ms. Silvana Parnas, and the whole Sodexo team for keeping us feed and hydrated with their BBQ station. Thank you to the Advancement Department team for their support on the sidelines and to Mr. J-P Trudeau, Director of Technology and Mr. Olivier Séguin, AV Technician for their tech support and capturing the day's best moments with their photography and videography. A big thank you to everyone who contributed to making this Saturday one to remember!
