On November 28, the Grade 11 Biology class participated in
Discovery Days in Health Science at The Neuro at McGill University. Students were provided with an opportunity to explore a variety of career options in medicine and health sciences, interacting with various researchers, clinicians and educators. Students heard from keynote speaker,
Mark Sorin a MD-PhD student at McGill and 2024 Canadian Medical Hall of Fame Awardee for his contributions to the field of lung cancer, who shared advice for our young scientists. Additionally, students attended two interactive workshops of their choice in various fields before the ‘Health Pros Tell All’ career panel with experts in many fields of medicine and health science. Thank you to the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame and hosts McGill University and the Montreal Neurological Institute-Hospital for making this possible! - Ms. Dalton, Senior School Science teacher
