Oratory Success at Middle School QAIS Public Speaking Competition

On April 10, Ms. Manning, 2022 Speirs medalist and former Head of Middle School, returned to judge the MS Public Speaking Competition run-offs alongside Mr. Kalichman, Mr. Roy, and Ms. Soukhodolskaia. Ten Grade 8 students delivered persuasive speeches in front of the entire Middle School. Topics ranged from advocating for later school start times to addressing the housing crisis in Montreal. Lucas C. from 8-1 was selected to represent our school at the competition against other QAIS schools at LCC. On April 17, he emerged victorious, clinching the tournament's win! Bravo to everyone who got up on stage and showcased their persuasive speaking skills.
