Grade 7 Scribe School

As the boys in Grade 7-2 learned about the origins of writing, they had a chance to become true Sumerian scribes in Mr. Bouskill's History class. On November 14, they learned how pictograms evolved into alphabets, then wrote their own "receipts" for goods traded. Using a replica reed stylus, the boys wrote their message in Sumerian cuneiform onto clay tablets.
