Royal Montreal Regiment Museum Brings WWII History to Senior School Students
Upon their return from holiday break, from January 7 to 10, Senior School students and staff were able to explore the Royal Montreal Regiment Museum's new exhibit on the Battle of the Scheldt. This battle consisted of a series of military operations to open up the Scheldt River between Antwerp and the North Sea to enable supplies to reach the Allies in north-west Europe. Many Canadian soldiers were involved. The exhibit goes beyond this specific battle and explores many other aspects of the Second World War. In the context of their concurrent unit on WWII, all Grade 10 students got to enjoy an interactive guided tour of the exhibit, along with a chance to manipulate original artefacts from WWII. - Ms. Thériault, Senior School Social Science Department Head
