Remembrance Day 2024

On November 11, both the Elementary and High School divisions held Remembrance Day assemblies with guest speaker Corporal Charles Bernier, a vehicle technician for the Armed Forces. Corporal Bernier delivered a powerful speech on the various conflicts in which Canadian troops have served, emphasizing the impact of veterans. He highlighted the service of Frederick Turnbull and honoured active members of the military, such as Corporal Marc-Daniel Benoit and Captain Jackie Ruis. Following two minutes of silence, the Prefects read aloud the names of fallen Selwyn House School Old Boys. Thank you to the students who recited poems, and a special thank you to Grade 11 student Gael P. for his drumming during the ceremony. We also appreciate the support of our staff especially Ms. Littman and Mr. Kennedy for their organization of the assemblies. Lest we forget. #RememberThem
