Brock McGillis Inspires Students to Champion Inclusion

On November 1, Middle and Senior School students heard from Brock McGillis, former professional hockey player and public speaker. Mr. McGillis gained recognition as the first openly gay male professional hockey player. His work challenges stereotypes and fosters discussions on inclusion. Mr. McGillis taught our students that everyone has the ability to create shifts. He provided concrete examples of how our students can act up against discrimination to make sports fields, hockey rinks, locker rooms, and schools safe and welcoming for all.
