CSSHL Trip to Calgary

Despite not reaching the quarter-finals in the CSSHL Calgary Tournament that took place from January 23 to 27, our players, coaching staff, and school directors gained valuable experience as a team and in recognizing the quality of hockey in the CSSHL in Western Canada. Regardless of the numerous challenges throughout the tournament, including travel, injuries, and intensity of the schedule, we pushed through to an elimination game against the hosts, Canadian International Hockey Academy, and eventual runners-up of the tourney. The team had the pleasure of being cheered on by Old Boys Felix Martin '23, Pre-U '24, and David Ihaza, Pre-U '24 who both attending post-secondary education in Calgary. Moving forward, our plan is to take what we learned, come closer together as a team, and play up to the level of hockey we were exposed to. If we do that, we can expect future success within our U17 CSSHL East division. - Coach Baslyk, Head of Hockey
