On October 10, the Grade 3 and 4 classes enjoyed a fun-filled day exploring a large corn maze and picking fresh apples. The excitement continued the following day with two hands-on apple-themed stations: an apple taste test and a mini apple pie baking activity. Students had the opportunity to sample and compare three different varieties of apples, selecting their favourite by the end of the session. In the kitchen, students worked in teams to follow a recipe and bake mini apple pies from scratch. By the end of the day, each student had two delicious pies to take home and enjoy over the Thanksgiving weekend. It was a fantastic way to embrace the season’s harvest!
