Pre-University 2024-25 Cohort Bonds and Prepares for the Future at Eastman Retreat

After two weeks of classes, lectures, and assignments the Pre-Univeristy cohort of 2024-25 had the opportunity to spend September 3 and 4 away from formal academics, at the Eastman Club in the Eastern Townships.

The goals of this trip were to familiarize ourselves with university terminology, to reflect on our interests and strengths in preparation for university application essays, to practice answering interview questions in a spontaneous and thoughtful manner, and most importantly, to spend time together, creating new bonds and solidifying old ones. We met these goals and even surpassed them. We swam, played wiffle ball, frisbee, football, and rugby. We exchanged stories and ideas around the campfire.

A big thank you to Ms. Lynam, who organized the trip, to Ms. Peterman, who led valuable workshops, to Mr. Trudeau and Mr. Séguin for beautifully capturing moments on film, and to all the Pre-U teachers for their time and presence. - Ms. Sweer, Pre-University Social Studies and English Teacher
