Grade 8 Student Kameron C. Leads Peers in Black History Month Dress Day Initiative
On February 21, Middle School students and staff dawned red, green, black or yellow shirts to honour and celebrate the Black History Month colours. Black represents resilience, red denotes blood, yellow is optimism and justice, and green symbolises greenery. Grade 8 student Kameron C. was the driving force behind this initiative. When asked why he proposed this special dress day he said: "I did this so people could learn the meaning of the Black History Month colours and represent them."
