Ms. Theng Shares Her Family’s Journey with Grade 8 Students

On February 26, Ms. Theng, Executive Assistant to the Headmaster, graciously shared her story about escaping the killing fields of Cambodia with her family. Grade 8-3 students have been learning about various genocides throughout history. They are currently finishing up the novel "Shattered" by Eric Walters which deals with a Canadian peacekeeper living with PTSD after serving in Rwanda. The students were very moved by Ms. Theng's story and asked lots of thoughtful questions.
