On April 23, the Senior School Social Studies Department and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Coordinator hosted Selwyn Remembers: A Yom Hashoah Event. Students, parents, and friends of Selwyn visited the Montreal Holocaust Museum's exhibit on loan in the Wanstall Library, followed by a guest speaker presentation from Barbara Cieply. Ms. Cieply shared her parents' stories of living through the Holocaust, detailing their lives in Poland and their eventual immigration to Montreal. Ms. Cieply spoke to the enduring importance of connection across difference, kindness, and keeping survivors' stories alive. We would like to thank everyone who attended, Ms. Cieply, and The Foundation for Genocide Education. - Ms. Schwartz Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Coordinator
