Cadet Football Summer Camp

Cadet Football Training Camp

 All practices for training camp will be held at the WAG (Westmount Athletic Grounds). We will provide you with a mouth guard on day one, but you may choose to purchase your own.

August 16th:  
9:00 am - Players are to report to Macaulay gym. At this time I will introduce the team to the coaching staff, and we will do equipment handout and locker assignments.
10:30 am – Players and coaches will head to the field for some intro to contact.
12:00 pm – Lunch. Students can bring snacks with them, but lunch will be provided.
2:00 to 4:00 pm – Players will be taken through a proper pre-game warm up routine, more intro to contact, skills evaluation and have some competitive games.
Week of August 19th-23rd: (lunch will be provided by the kitchen this week)

August 19th  and 20th:
On these days we will have 2 practices. One practice will run from 9 to 11 am, and the other from 2 to 4 pm. It is important that players are on time for practice. The locker room will be open at 8 am for players to get ready. The long break between practices will allow sufficient time for athletes to fuel up, hydrate and do some chalk talk.
August 21st to 23rd:
We will practice every day from 2:30 to approximately 5 pm.
August 26th-30th:
We will practice every day from 3pm to 5pm. There is the possibility of an exhibition game on Friday August 30th. I’m still working on it.
After these weeks of camp, the regular Senior School Phys Ed. schedule will be in effect (practices on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays after school).
