Middle School Students Compete to Memorize Pi

On October 1, six Middle School students took part in a competition to see who could recite the most digits of Pi by heart. The competition was part of The Algebros, the brand new Middle School math club that meets every two weeks. The winner of the competition was Allen Q., a Grade 7 student who successfully recited 211 digits of pi and took home a lemon meringue pie as his prize. - Ms. Katherine Farnell, Middle School Mathematics Department Head
