AP Calculus Class Tackles University-Level Math at McGill
On April 2 the AP Calculus class headed to McGill University for a campus tour and a Calculus II lecture. The students visited the classrooms of the Desautels Faculty of Management, the labs within the various buildings of the Faculty of Engineering and the beautiful museum in the Faculty of Anatomy and Cell Biology. Our visit culminated with students sitting in on a 300 person Calculus II lecture in the Stewart Biology Building given by the esteemed Professor Sidney Trudeau of the Faculty of Mathematics and Statistics. The students appreciated the opportunity to experience university life and were proud that they were able to follow a college-level course. Hopefully this is just the beginning of the post-secondary mathematical pursuits of this stellar group. Well done, mathematicians! - Ms. Sayegh, Senior School Mathematics Department Head
