Toboggan Lab 2024

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the annual "Toboggan Lab." A time-honoured tradition, Grade 11 Physics students spend a class at nearby Murray Hill measuring time, distance, angles, masses, etc. Using their knowledge of kinematics, energy, forces and trigonometry, they must determine the coefficient of friction between their sled and the snow. No small task! The weather and snow conditions were fabulous and fun was had by all. Can't wait till next year! - Mr. Downey, Senior Science Department Head
