Grade 11 Physics Students Take Learning to the Slopes at the 26th Annual Tobogganing Lab
How can we enjoy all this snow that has been falling? Participating in the 26th annual tobogganing lab, that's how! And that's just what the students in Grade 11 Physics did last Friday. Their task: determine the coefficient of friction between their sled and the snow. To achieve this task the students must use their knowledge of forces, energy transformations, kinematics, trigonometry and of course their problem solving skills (how do you measure the height of a real hill?). The sun was shining, the snow was fresh and fun was had by all! - Mr. Tom Downey, Senior School Physics teacher
